In our works-driven culture, we must remember that Jesus didn’t come to be a 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳. Jesus came to provide the path to the Father. This path is not based on anything we do but on everything Jesus did.
This school year, we are partnering with our neighborhood elementary school, Kelley Elementary, and plan on serving and loving on them all year long. God is not our cosmic waiter who should just bring us what we ask. Sure, we approach Him with our requests, but always in a posture of surrender.
